One person has died after a house fire at 1712 Eberbhardt St. in Albert Lea early Saturday, according to Albert Lea Fire & Rescue. A 61 year old Blue Earth woman was injured when her compact car and an SUV crashed on the east side of Mankato Tuesday Afternoon. USDA Says Weekend Rains Provided Some Relief to MN & Iowa Crops

Weekend rain for southern Minnesota and much of Iowa provided some relief to dry fields according to the USDA. For the week end August 7th, Minnesota had 5.7 days suitable for field work.
