MCW School District To Hold Informational Meetings on Bond Referendum

The Martin County West School District will hold community information open houses in April to provide information about the May 14th school facility bond referendum, asking voters to weigh in on whether or not to build a new building to house all students and staff in preschool through 12th grade under one roof in Sherburn.

The ballot for the referendum asks two questions of voters.  Questions 1 is $64.7 million for a new school building to serve all the school district’s students.

Question 2 is for $2.04 million to build an auxiliary gym for the new school.

The meetings will be held at the high school in Sherburn on Thursday, April 4th and Monday, April 29th, from 5-7pm both dates.
