The Blue Earth City Council had two closed sessions regarding complaints against four city employees on the agenda Monday, but one was kept open by the request of one of the employees.
Library employee Mollie Halverson was terminated after a long discussion of the eight complaints against her between April 2023 and March 2024. During the discussion a motion was made to put Halverson on a 3 month probation period, but that motion failed on a 3-3 tied vote. A motion was made for Halverson to be terminated due to the complaints against her and that passed on a 5-1 vote.
Blue Earth Wine and Spirits employees Amber Belaski, David Olson and Tammy Davis had the complaints against them discussed in closed session and the council dismissed all allegations against them, with no further action to be taken. The matter was considered closed.
