Minnesota Lake Man and 2 Others Injured in Collision Near Janesville

Three people were injured when a semi and a van collided near Janesville Monday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at approximately 12:01pm, a Freightliner semi driven by 24 year old Joseph Daniel Ficken, of Minnesota Lake, was southbound on Waseca Township Road 33 and a Ford Econoline van diriven by 37 year old Jeremy Raymond Max Alsdorf, of North Mankato was eastbound on Highway 14 when the vehicles collided in Alton Township.

Fifty eight year old Stan Rover McCarty, of Owatonna, was a passenger in the van and was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with non life threatening injures.  It’s unknown if he was wearing a seatbelt.

Alsdorf and Ficken were both transported to Mayo Clinic Mankato, with non life threatening injuries.  Both were wearing a seat belt.

Janesville Police, Waseca County Sheriff’s Office, Janesville Fire Department and North Ambulance assisted at the scene.
