The Blue Earth City Council reviewed and approved an updated version of City Administrator Mary Kennedy’s contract on Monday.
Mayor Rick Scholtes says the council wants to keep Kennedy on longer, so they signed a 3 year extension with her. Her current contract was set to expire in July of 2025.
Scholtes added that agreement also includes a pay raise brining her current salary to $115,000. There’s also a clause in the contract that she will get a $3,000 raise if she gets a good performance review on her anniversary date every July.
Kennedy took over as City Administrator on July 6th, 2020 and is now under contract until 2028.
