Faribault County SWCD Offering Cost Share Program for Some Conservation Practices

Through the Soil and Water Conservation District Cost Share Program, landowners can request financial and technical assistance for the implementation of approved conservations practices that protect and improve water quality.  The program provides up to 75% or a flat rate of the total eligible costs of a practice.

Faribault County SWCD Outreach Technician Hadley Mensing says there’s lots of cost share funding available for cover crops, reduced tillage practices, water ways and sediment control bases just to name a few.

A contract between the SWCD and the landowner needs to be approved before the project can begin and landowners are reimbursed upon completion of the project.

Landowners with any questions can call or stop into the Faribault County SWCD Office, located in the Ag Center in Blue Earth.
