A Briceyln man is pleading not guilty for a high speed chase in North Iowa.

Forty-nine year old Jeremy John Richardson is charged with eluding, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and driving while license revoked.

Richardson was arrested on December 28, 2023 after law enforcement says it saw Richardson driving north on Wheelerwood Road from Diamond Jo Casino at around 3:15am in Worth County.  The officer says Richardson’s vehicle has an expired registration sticker.

Court documents state and attempt to pull over Richardson led to a chase that reached speeds over 90 miles per house.  Investigators says the chase ended when Richarson drove behind a residence in the 4900 block of Wheelerwood Road and stopped.  Officers say they found the vehicle empty.

A K9 dog brought to the scene led law enforcement to Richardson, hiding in threes and underbrush about 75 yards away from the vehicle.  A search allegedly found marijuana and methamphetamine in Richard’s vehicle.
