B.E. Council Meets in Closed Session for the Annual Performance Review for the City Administrator

The Blue Earth City Council met Tuesday for the second time this month with a portion of it in closed session for the annual performance evaluation for City Administrator Mary Kennedy.

Mayor Rick Scholtes says Kennedy’s score improved from last year’s evaluation.  On a scale of 1-10, Kennedy scored a 9.16 up from 8.53.

Scholtes says with her rating, Kennedy will see an increase in pay.  Per the terms of her contract, based on her evaluation score, Kennedy will received a $3000 raise in on her anniversary date in July and the council also approved another $2000 increase effective immediately.

Kennedy replaced Kim Moore, who resigned on May 27th, 2020 and has been Blue Earth City Administrator since July 6th, 2020.
