Faribault County SWCD Holding a Conservation Tree Open House This Wednesday and Thursday

Each year conservation trees can be purchased from the Faribault County Soil and Water Conservation District for field and farmstead windbreaks.  Trees are preordered and sold to landowners on a first come first served basis.

Outreach Technician Hadley Mensing says the county office will be having a tree open house from 8am until 6pm this Wednesday and Thursday, January 17th and 18th.

Mensing says this is held so people can come in with any questions about conservation trees.

A variety of bare root trees, shrubs and potted evergreens are available.  Deciduous trees are sold in bundles of 10 or bundles of 25, evergreen transplants in bundles of 50 and potted evergreens are sold separately.

Those unable to attend on Wednesday or Thursday, can call the Faribault County SWCD office for assistance.  The last day to place a custom tree order for the 2024 tree sales will be March 29th.
