Elmore City Council Sets February 15th as the Last Day for the Municipal Liquor Store

The Elmore City Council met Monday and held the public hearing of the second reading of the ordinance to close the Elmore Municipal Liquor Store and create two off sale liquor licenses in the city.

The ordinance passed on a unanimous vote.  The liquor store’s final day of operation will be February 15th.  The city will be leasing the liquor store space.  Anyone interested in leasing the space can get information at the City Clerks’ office.

A committee will be working with the Faribault County EDA to review the business plans submitted for the space.  Business plans need to be submitted to the City Clerk’s office by February 5th.
