Fairmont police are encouraging drivers to check their tires before leaving the house.
Police say they’ve had reports of an unusual amount of loose lug nuts on vehicle tires in the area. Although they didn’t give any impression that there was criminal activity happening, authorities recommend that motorists check over their vehicles before driving anywhere, as a precaution.
The Fairmont Police Department also says that despite the warm weather, it’s always important to carry emergency materials in your car, in case of an emergency when the wintry weather finally arrives.
