Multiple Fire Departments responded to a residential fire 7 miles east of Winnebago on Friday afternoon.
According to the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 4:24pm, they received a call of a residential structure fire at 20179 405th Avenue.
Upon arrival, deputies and firefighters found the residence was fully engulfed in flames. No one was in the home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries or fatalities. Firefighters were on the scene for several hours.
The Delavan Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the Blue Earth, Easton and Winnebago Fire Departments, Winnebago Ambulance and the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office.
The fire is under investigation by the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office, Delavan Fire Department and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal.
