Delavan Woman Suffered Minor Injuries After Driving Through T Intersection and Into a Field

A Delavan woman suffered minor injuries in a one vehicle accident about five miles south of Mapleton on Wednesday evening.

According to the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 7:10pm, a 2015 Ford Fusion driven by 57 year old Rahma Wynn Starrett of Delavan was southbound on 580th Avenue, when she failed to stop for the stop sign at the T intersection with 250th Street and drove through the intersection, struck the ditch and went approximately 30 yards into the field before coming to a rest.

Starrett was treated at the scene by the Minnesota Lake Ambulance for her injuries.

The crash is under investigation by the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office.

Assisting at the scene were the Mapleton Police Department, Minnesota Lake Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Mapleton Fire Department and Minnesota Lake Ambulance.
