The North Union Elementary School in Fenton has been named one of the best in Iowa by US News & World Report.
North Union Elementary Principal Katie Black says the school was ranked number 21 of all elementary schools in Iowa. The rankings are based on data compiled from statewide testing results. The results looked at both reading and math proficiency and North Union was above 96.4% of all elementary schools in the state.
Black says that recognition such as this could be helpful for parents searching for a good school for their children.
