Elmore City Council Votes to Dissolve First Responder’s January 1st

The Elmore City Council met on Monday and made the decision to dissolve the Elmore First Responders effective January 1st, 2024, due to a lack of members in the organization.  The Elmore Fire Department will continue to be called out for lift assist, breathing and cardiac issues.  The City will be selling the First Responder’s rig after January 1st.

The bid opening for the second round of surplus lots was also held Monday night.  The lot at 138 Highway 169 North was sold for $601, the lost at 210 West Ramsey Street was sold for $1,075 and there were no bids received for lots at 101 Jay Street East and 313 Jay Street East.

The Council also accepted the bid from Charles Glassburner to replace sidewalk and curb on Willis Street and replace sidewalk on Mondale Street for $3,000.

The next Elmore City Council meeting will be held December 11th.
