BEA School Board Discusses Facilities Survey Results

The Blue Earth Area School Board met for their monthly meeting and work session Monday evening and discussed some of the facilities survey results.

Superintendent Mandy Fletcher says the return rate of the surveys was more than expected to get valid data, 20% was the goal and over 30%.

Fletcher says the results are overwhelmingly in favor of looking at a new building at the south end of the high school, but not at the cost presented in the survey.

Fletcher said that she thinks they’ve come up with some viable options to move forward.

The Community Task Force will continue to comb through survey results to find the right direction with how to proceed as more will be decided in the near future.
