Soybean Harvest Almost Complete and Corn Harvest Nearing 90% Complete in MN & Iowa, According to the USDA

The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service released the crop progress report for Minnesota and Iowa for the week ending November 5th.  Fieldwork included harvesting row crops, completing fall tillage, applying fall fertilizer, bailing stalks and hauling manure.

In Minnesota, the corn crop harvested for grain reached 86% and moisture content at harvest averaged 18%.

Iowa’s corn crop harvested for grain reached 89% and moisture content at harvest averaged 16%.

Both Minnesota and Iowa’s soybeans were 97% harvested.
