Corn Harvest in MN and Iowa 3/4 Complete, According to the USDA

The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service released the Crop Progress Report for Minnesota and Iowa for the week ending October 29th.  Fieldwork included harvesting row crops, completing fall tillage, applying fall fertilizer, baling stalks and hauling manure.

In Minnesota, the corn crop harvested for grain reached 75% and moisture content at harvest averaged 18%.

In Iowa, corn harvested for grain reached 77% and moisture content at harvest averaged 17%.

Minnesota’s soybean harvest reached 94% completed, while in Iowa, soybeans were 93% harvested.
