Two Teens Injured in Crash just Outside of Blue Earth on Saturday Afternoon

Two teenagers were seriously injured in a crash just outside of Blue Earth on Saturday Afternoon.

The crash happened at noon on 380th Ave in Blue Earth City Township.

According to the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office,  2000 Ford Ranger pickup driven by 16 year old Miles Ryan Ahrens of Blue Earth was southbound on 380th Ave at a high rate of speed, when it left thr roadway and entered the ditch.  The release says the pickup went over a driveway and the KJLY Radio Station fence and struck the guide wires supporting the radio tower, before rolling and landing on its side.

Ahrens and his passenger, 17 year old Alayna Ray Wright, of Frost, were both transported United Hospital District with suspected serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
