South Dakota Man Injured in a Car/Semi Crash on Hwy 169, Near I-90 on Monday Afternoon

A South Dakota man was injured in a 2 vehicle accident on Highway 169pm, at I-90 in Blue Earth on Monday Afternoon. 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at approximately 12:18pm, at 2001 Honda Civic, driven by 25 year old Eder Gabriel Moreno Gonzalez, of Canisota, South Dakota, was traveling north bound on Highway 169 and a 2024 Peterbilt Semi, driven by 23 year old Brody Christopher Fritche of Armstrong, was also north bound on Highway 169, when they collided.

Gonzalex was taken to UHD in Blue Earth with nonlife threatening injuries.  Fritche, a 32 year old male and 34 year old female passenger in Gonzalez’s vehicle were no injured.

All those involved were wearing their seatbelts.

Assisting at the scene were the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office, Blue Earth Police Department, Blue Earth Fire Department and UHD Ambulance.
