The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service released the crop progress report for Minnesota and Iowa ending September 17th.
In Minnesota, corn in the dent stage was at 93% and the crop was 60% mature. Corn harvested for grain reached 6% and corn was rated 41% good to excellent.
Iowa’s corn crop in the dent stage reached 96% and 63% of the state’s corn crop had reached maturity. Corn harvested for grain reached 5%. Corn condition was 48% good to excellent.
Minnesota’s soybeans turning color were at 86%, with 59% dropping leaves. Soybeans harvested reached 6%. Soybean condition was rated 46% good to excellent.
In Iowa, soybeans turning color were at 86%, with 52% of leaves dropping and 3% harvested. Soybean condition was at 47% good to excellent.
