On Tuesday, the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service released the Crop Progress Report for Minnesota and Iowa for the week ending September 3rd.
In Minnesota, corn in the dough stage reached 97%. Dent stage was 71% and the crop was beginning to mature at 11%. Corn condition was 39% good to excellent.
Iowa’s corn crop in the dent stage was 78% and 17% of the state’s corn crop has reached maturity. Corn condition was 49% good to excellent.
Minnesota’s soybeans turning color were 48% with 12% dropping leaves. Soybean condition was 47% good to excellent.
In Iowa, soybeans turning color were 40% with 8% of leaves dropping. Soybean condition was 49% good to excellent.
