Blue Earth Light and Water’s Water Department will begin flushing water mains on Tuesday, it will take approximately 2 to 3 weeks to complete.
Blue Earth Light & Water will flush the hydrants and water mains to clean the system of iron and other solids that settle out and accumulate over the summer season.
The crews will start at 1st Steet and North Rice and work towards Holland Street. Once they reach 1st Street and Holland, they will go back to 2nd Street and North Rice and head west again.
Residents water supply may become yellow or rusty in color during the time crews are flushing. Blue Earth Light & Water asks for your patience and understanding while they clean the system.
