USDA Approves Emergency Haying in Some Northern Iowa Counties

The USDA has approved Kossuth, Palo Alto and Clay counties for Emergency Haying or Grazing of CRP acres due to the abnormally dry conditions.

However not all CRP acres are open to haying or grazing and emergency haying or grazing must be approved by the FSA Office.

The deadline to hay is Thursday and bails must be removed by September 10^th, with grazing allowed through September 30^th.
