A Mankato man was injured in a van semi crash at an intersection on the north edge of Madelia on Tuesday morning.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at approximately 8:28am on Tuesday, 22 year old Adrian Michael Freed was driving a 2018 Chevrolet G2500 northbound on Highway 15 and was at the Watonwan County Road 3 intersection, when the van and a northbound 2004 Freightliner Semi, driven by 71 year old Donald Charles Kuckenbecker of Blue Earth collided.
Freed was treated for nonlife threatening injuries at the hospital in Madelia. Kuckenbecker was not injured.
Assisting at the scene were the Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office, Madelia Ambulance and Madelia Fire Department.
