The Kossuth County Farm Service Agency announced this week the authorization to hay or graze approved CRP acreage, which started on August 7th. Kossuth County producers who would like to participate in this practice must request permission before cutting the hay. For 2023, there are additional restrictions on certain practices and all must be approved before haying or grazing begins.
All hay must be cut by August 31st and bales must be removed by September 10th. FSA shall not assess a payment reduction for emergency haying or grazing. For more details, contact your local Farm Service Agency.
