A Blue Earth woman and a Winnebago man were injured in a two vehicle accident north of Beauford late Thursday morning.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at approximately 11:27am, a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox driven by 78 year old Judith Kay Orvedal, of Blue Earth, was northbound on Highway 22 and a 2015 Kia Optima, driven by 57 year old Paul Wayne Marchetti of Winnebago was eastbound on Blue Earth County Road 16, when the vehicles collided in the intersection.
Ovredal was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with life threatening injuries.
Marchetti was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System – Mankato with non life threatening injuries.
Mapleton Fire, Good Thunder Fire, Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office and Mayo Ambulance assisted at the scene.
