The Winnebago Fire Department responded to a large structure fire at around 2pm Tuesday at 835 Main Street South. The Amboy, Blue Earth, Delavan and Easton Fire Departments were also called in to help extinguish the blaze. Fire Fighters were at the scene for 5 ½ hours.
There were no injuries reported and the building is a total loss.
The cause of the fire is under investigation with the State Fire Marshall’s Office.
The Winnebago Police Department, Winnebago Ambulance and the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office also assisted.
Fire Officials remind the public to please be respectful and stay off the property.
