At the Wells City Council meeting Monday night, concerns were brought up regarding side by side and golf cart usage around town. The main issues seem to be traffic violations, underage operators of side by sides and golf carts zooming around the parks, especially after sporting events at both Thompson and Half Moon Parks.
Police Chief Tim Brenegen told the council the Police Department will be keeping an extra eye on these areas looking for any violations.
The Council will be looking at an ordinance in the future similar to or adding to the current snowmobile ordinance, prohibiting them from being driven on park grounds.
The Council also accepted the resignation of Scott Linde from the Wells Fire Department and thanked him for his many years of service to the City of Wells.
