Two people were injured in a one vehicle accident near Wells on Tuesday night.
The Faribault County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to a one vehicle accident at approximately 9:15pm Tuesday involving a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by 31 year old Travis Ripka of Ellendale.
Ripka was traveling south bound on 560th Ave, just north of Highway 109, when he lost control of the vehicle which left the roadway and came to a rest in the bottom of a drainage ditch.
Ripka and the passenger in the vehicle, 26 year old Trisha Eastman of Wells were both transported by ambulance to the Albert Lea Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Alcohol may have been a factor in the accident, which remains under investigation by the Faribault County Sheriff’s Department.
The Wells Police Department, Wells Ambulance, Minnesota Lake Ambulance and Wells Fire Department assisted at the accident scene.
