A Kossuth County jury acquitted an area man on charges of sexual abuse Friday afternoon.
Twenty six year old Rigoberto Mendez had been charged with 3 county of 2nd degree sexual abuse following alleged incidents in August of 2021 and November of 2022.
Attorney’s made their closing arguments Friday morning before turning the case over to the jury, who deliberated for a couple hours before reaching their verdict around 2pm.
