Winnebago Council Receives 2022 Audit, Pool Study and EAB Updates

Auditors from ABDO presented the findings of the 2022 Audit to the Winnebago City Council last week.  The audit found that there were no issues and the Water and Sewer Fund are now on the right track after the increases in rates.

Burbach Aquatics presented the Pool Facility Study showing a need for updates and repairs, to which the council stated they’ll dedicate a committee and time to address the concern.

It was also announced that the compost site was open for the season.

Hydrant flushing withing the city will begin April 17th.

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture had confirmed an infestation of Emerald Ash Borer in the City of Winnebago along Cleveland Ave West.  The City will be work on its plan for dealing with the trees on public property.  City Hall is also offering a packet of information for homeowners in the lobby of City Hall.  Because of the Emerald Ash Borer, there will be a few more rules put in place at the compost site.
