The Blue Earth Area School Board held its regular meeting last Monday and discussed a few topics and updates.
The Board was informed of a change of staff, with a few teachers leaving and a few coming in. One of which is Activities Director Rob Norman, who announced his retirement after the end of this school year.
The ongoing issue of building a new tennis court complex, in conjunction with the City of Blue Earth was discussed, addressing the latest proposal from the city of funding $330,000 of the cost of the new courts.
The School Board discussed some other possible options, but eventually sent the matter back to the Facilities and Finance Committee to study the options further. The official update on the matter being that the tennis courts have stalled for the time being.
