Both Drivers Escape Injury in Two Vehicle Crash Near Walters on Tuesday Morning

On Tuesday the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a two vehicle accident near Walters.

The Sheriff’s Office says just before 9am on Tuesday morning, a Nissan Titan, driven by 64 year old Gail Diane Snyder, of Northwood, Iowa, was traveling northbound on County Road 31, south of County Road 16.  Snyder then stopped at the intersection with County Road 16 and proceeded through the intersection, where her vehicle was struck by a Ford Escape driven by 43 year old Kary Linn Reicherts of Bricelyn.

Authorities say that Reicherts attempted to avoid striking Snyder’s vehicle directly in the driver’s side door and instead hit the left rear passenger door and rear left area of the vehicle.

Airbags were deployed in both vehicles, but neither Snyder or Reicherts reported any injuries.

The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Walters Fire Department, Walters First Responders and Kiester Ambulance.
