Search for New USC Superintendent Now Down to 2 Finalists

The search for a new Superintendent at United South Central has been narrowed down to two finalists after the School Board held interviews for the four candidates on Tuesday.  The finalists are Rober Routh, currently an English Teacher at United South Central and Taylor Topinka, current Principal at Granada-Huntley-East Chain.

The School Board will conduct a final interview with each candidate on Wednesday, January 18th and Thursday, January 19th, from 5:30-6:30pm in the Community Education Room.  The interviews are open to the public.

The public is also invited to attend a session each day from 4-5pm on the 18th and 19th in the High School Auditorium, where they can meet and ask questions to each candidate.

The School Board will discuss the candidates at a special meeting on Thursday, January 19th, at 6:30pm.  At that time, the Board may take action to enter into contract negotiations with one of the candidates, who will become the next Superintendent beginning July, 1st 2023.
