Heading into the third weekend of December, AAA reports that gas prices in Minnesota and Iowa are lower than they were a week ago.
The average price in Minnesota is reported at $2.99 a gallon, compared to $3.14 a gallon a week ago.
In Iowa, the average price per gal is $2.89, compared to $3.04 last week.
Texas has the lowest average price in the nation at $2.64 a gallon.
The national average price per gallon is currently $3.17.
