On Sunday, just after 6:30am, the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a machine shed on fire east of Blue Earth.
When fire crews arrived at the scene, they found the shed fully engulfed by fire. Within an hour, the fire was under control and fire crews remained on the scene for approximately five hours.
The Blue Earth Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the Frost, Elmore, Delavan and Winnebago Fire Departments, UHD Ambulance, Faribault County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Fire Marshall.
The fire remains under investigation.
