Albert Lea Man Pleads Not Guilty to Charges in Winnebago County, Iowa

A Minnesota man plead not guilty to nine crimes in Winnebago County.

Forty year old Eric William Jensen, of Albert Lea, is charged with third degree burglary, several driving offenses including OWI and other charges.

Investigators say Jensen broke into a farm building in rural Thompson and stole 2 and a half gallons of gasoline on May 25th.  A witness says he chased Jensen, but lost him when he drove through a field.  He was then arrested near Forest City on May 26th after allegedly refusing to pull over for Law Enforcement.

Investigators say Jensen was driving a red utility vehicle worth about $14,000 that had been reported stolen and the pursuit through the planted fields caused an estimated $10,000 in damage.

Jensen’s trial is scheduled to start on August 10th.
