I-90 Lanes Closures Between Sherburn & Fairmont to Be Lifted until July 5th

Motorists are advised that the eastbound and westbound lane closures on I-90 between Sherburn and Fairmont will be temporarily removed on Monday, June 27th until Tuesday, July 5th, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The lanes restrictions will resume on July 5th, when milling and paving operations are expected to begin.

Construction on I-90 between Sherburn and Fairmont began on May 9th and traffic has been reduced to a single lane in the eastbound lanes.  Additional work has also required temporary road restrictions in the westbound lanes during construction.  Separate temporary eastbound on and off ramp closures will be required for approximately one week each at Highway 263 and at Martin County 39 (190th Ave.) during the project.  Motorists are encouraged to monitor www.511mn.org in advance of the ramp closures.

Construction on the 15 miles of I-90 is expected to be complete in early August and includes resurfacing traffic lanes, shoulders and ramps, updating guardrail, improving drainage and updating lighting at the Highway 4 and Highway 15 interchanges.
