Glen Gaylord Resigns From B.E. Council After Serving for More Than 20 Years

After more than 20 years on the Blue Earth City Council, Glen Gaylord submitted his resignation Monday night, leaving an open seat on the Council.

As Gaylord had been Vice Mayor, after the council formally accepted his resignation, Mayor Rick Scholtes appointed Council Member Wendy Cole as Vice Mayor.

The Council then voted to post the opening in the Faribault County Register for two weeks with applications due May 27th, with interviews and appointments occurring during the June 6th meeting.

Gaylord’s former seat is up for election in November.
