At their meeting on Tuesday the Faribault County Commissioners declared April 24th-30th as National Crime Victim’s Rights Week in the county.
Barb Ziegler, victim witness coordinator for Faribault County, reviewed the resolution and explained it reaffirms the county’s commitment to create a victim service and a criminal justice response that assists all victims of crime.
County Attorney Cameron Davis said their office also wants to commend law enforcement personnel in the area, especially the Faribault County Sheriff’s Department, for their work to make sure victims feel safe and are heard.
Board Chair Greg Young appointed Commissioners Bill Groskreutz and John Roper to the 2022 County Election Canvassing Board, ahead of the May 24th Primary Election. The Canvassing Board will meet to canvass the results of the May 24th Primary on May 25th at 11:30am.
