Blue Earth Area School District announced on Monday that Amy Mauris of Winnebago has been named Teacher of the Year.
Mauris has worked for the school district for 33 year and is a special education teacher working in the high school. Mauris’ nomination letter states that she, “does a wonderful job of servicing effectively as a bridge between her students and teachers in their core area subject classes.”
Mauris’ nomination letter goes on to say that BEA “is blessed to have such a wonderful colleague working with students in need of further supports beyond general classroom.”
