While the Winnebago City Council had scheduled a special meeting last Tuesday night to discuss contract details with Robert Harris III, who was selected by the council to be the new city administrator. Moments prior to the meeting, an email addressed to the Council from Harris announced he was withdrawing his candidacy for the position. In the email, Harris said, “now is not the right time for me to make a transition,” and added his thanks to the council for their time and consideration.
The Winnebago City Council has scheduled another special meeting for Tuesday, March 1st at 6pm, to discuss filling the still vacant City Administrator position.
