Blue Earth City Administrator Mary Kennedy says the team at gogov has continued to work on building out an online permitting software that will allow permit and licensing applications to be made online, as well as send reminders for recurring permits such as dog and cat registration or ATV/Golf Cart Licenses.
Gogov intends to have the remaining software items built this month and Kennedy is working to schedule a staff demonstration. Gogov will be able to incorporate this option into the City Website and Myblueearth app so that the city can continue to promote the use of the new available technologies.
The option will not completely replace the paper based permitting process, but will be a step forward in efficiency for staff and residents.
