Governor Walz has proclaimed this week, January 24th through the 30th, as Paraprofessional Recognition Week in Minnesota.
Blue Earth Area Superintendent Mandy Fletcher spoke about the important work of Paraprofessionals helping students be it students with disabilities or who are struggling to helping new students transition and get used to the building.
Fletcher also talks about how Paraprofessionals make a substantial impact on the lives of older students as well, helping them prepare for life after high school whether it’s a technical school, 4 year college, military or entering the workforce.
Activities are planned for the week at Blue Earth Area to recognize the District’s Paraprofessionals.
