Bricelyn Man Sentenced on Drug and Weapon Charges in Winnebago County

A Bricelyn man has pleaded guilty to illegal drug and weapon charges in Winnebago County District Court.

Dale Hayward recently pleaded guilty to charges of having possession of a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance, marijuana, a serious misdemeanor and carrying weapons, a serious misdemeanor, stemming from a traffic stop by the Lake Mills Police Department on August 24th.

For each count, Hayward was sentenced to serve two days in the Winnebago County Jail and ordered to pay a $430 fine, along with surcharge and court costs.

The jail sentences imposed were ordered to run concurrently.

Hayward was also ordered to obtain a substance abuse evaluation and follow through with any recommended treatment.
