USC School Board Approves Contract Agreement with Education Association

The United South Central School Board has negotiated a Master Contract Agreement with the United South Central Education Association for the coming year.  The agreement was formally ratified by the Board at its regular meeting on Tuesday.

The Board this week also approved for two high school students to serve as local representatives on the United South Central Board of Education.  A junior student was selected to serve a two year term on the Board, with a senior student to also serve on the board during the coming year.  This is the sixth year that two student representatives have been chosen to serve on the board.

The board approved the District’s Community Education Director to apply for grant funding to develop an outdoor learning area on the United South Central Campus in Wells.  One area will be developed at the High School, with the other to be located at the Elementary School.

The Board also approved a proposed budget for acquiring new live streaming equipment for use by the District.

A resolution was also approved by the board supporting an application to the Minnesota State High School League Foundation for grant funding for the district.
