Iowa Man Suffers Injuries in Accident South of Kiester

A North Central Iowa man suffered minor injuries in a single vehicle accident which occurred Tuesday evening, south of Kiester.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Gerard Faton, 24, of Ventrua, Iowa, was traveling southbound on State Highway 22, when he came upon another vehicle which was attempting to turn off onto 20th Street.  Faton then steered right, in an attempt to avoid a collision, but in doing so, lost control of his vehicle.

Faton was taken to an Albert Lea hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office, Kiester Fire and Rescue and Kiester Ambulance.
