A man who recently admitted to stealing a truck and was shot by a property owner in Freeborn County is now facing charges.
Andre Williams, 38, of Harcourt, Iowa, admitted to Police that he was trying to steal a truck when the owner of the truck opened fire.
Williams is facing felony theft and damage to property charges.
The owner of the truck, James Vinton, 38, of Glenville, pleaded not guilty to assault and reckless discharge of a firearm last week.
Vinton says he was trying to protect his property and scare off the thief.
Williams has a court appearance scheduled for November 4th.
