Mason City Man Pleads Not Guilty in Rake Bar Break In

A north central Iowa man accused of burglarizing a Winnebago County bar is pleading not guilty.

Brandon Hufstedler, 36, of Mason City, is charged with third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit a felony as a habitual offender, second degree theft, second degree criminal mischief and possession of burglary tools.

Authorities say Hufstedler broke into the Rake Pub and Grill in Rake on March 25th and stole more than $3,000 in cash, while causing approximately $9,000 in damage.

Investigators say Hufstedler was captured on video robbing the bar and his cell phone was tracked to the area of the bar at the time of the burglary.

Hufstedler is scheduled to go on trial in Winnebago County on November 3rd.
